I currently own a 2012 Nissan Versa hatchback and 2019 Nissan Rogue, and one of my daughters drives a 2011 Versa. My other daughter only recently gave up the 2007 Versa hatch. I also have a black lab, Charlie, who is getting up there in years, but keeps me busy.

I'm the new kid on the block - having only been a host / moderator since September 2013.
However, I've been a participant on these forums since the very beginning in the mid-to-late 90's. Have made some lasting friendships along the way, and, with a job that allowed me to travel, I was able to meet some of these great folks in person.
I now work from home and play daddy to two miniature dachshunds - Guster and Daisy.
I'm heavily involved in helping folks achieve the best lease deal, by leveling the playing field with the information dealers would rather you not have.
My current fleet is 3 vehicles - my stepdaughter's 2014 MINI Countryman S ALL4, my wife's 2015 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited, and my leased 2016 VW Jetta SE. However, the Jetta lease is up this summer, and since I work from home and the wife and stepdaughter commute together, it's likely it won't get replaced and we'll be a two car household.

I started with Edmunds in 2013 and currently lead our Customer Care team which encompasses everything Support and UGC (including forums).
I’ve always been a car guy but more so in the sense of appreciating new car features, technology, and aesthetics. I’ve had three VW GTIs (08, 11, and 15) but now consider myself to be a loyal Lexus customer. Our garage consists of a 2018 RX F Sport Hybrid and a 2019 UX 200.
I live in Florida and have two dogs (toy poodle and chiweenie).

How to post a Leasing Question
Many car shoppers are coming to the forums to get leasing numbers for vehicles they are interested in. To get the best answer from our leasing experts, (money factors and residuals, plus incentives) please include the following:
Make/Model
Trim
Term
Mileage allowance
Location (zip code)
You can use the Quote link if you want to make a comment in response to a specific comment. Just click the Quote link and the comment you are quoting will be pulled into the text box and you can type your comment/reply immediately below.
How to add a Photo to your Comment
Photos can make your posts more interesting, more clearly illustrate a point or just show off your vehicle. To add a photo to your comment, click on the Attach Image/File icon.
You may drag the image/file, or "Browse" to locate it on your computer. If the photo is hosted on a web site, copy the URL and then paste it in the "Image URL" box. Your photo may be resized (thumbnailed) for a better fit on the comment page. Clicking on the photo will enlarge it.
Adding a hyperlink to your Comment
To add a hyperlink to your comment, simply highlight the text you want to make into a hyperlink and click the URL icon and enter the URL of your link. When you post your comment, the text will automatically become a link
How to edit a Comment
Your comment will have a Gear icon at the upper right corner of your post. You have 4 hours to make corrections and changes to your comment. All edits are logged.
We have a lot of information in our forums, and if you’re looking for information about a specific vehicle, or a specific problem with your vehicle, finding an existing discussion can be very helpful. Not only will you be posting where other members are discussing your vehicle or problem, you may discover that your question has already been asked and the information or answer you need has already been posted.
On the forums landing page https://forums.edmunds.com/ you will find the Search box to search for keywords, as well as drop down menus to search by Make/Model or Topic/SubTopic
You can also perform an Advanced Search by clicking on the arrow to expand the Search box and enter keywords plus additional parameters to narrow your search.
For searching within a single discussion, look for the magnifying glass icon. Click on it to open. You'll find that icon in every discussion, plus in selected category lists, My Bookmarks and My Discussions lists.
How to create a Discussion, Poll, or Question
Only registered members of Edmunds Automotive Network may create a Discussion, Poll, or Ask a Question. Make your selection from the drop down beneath your Forums screen name. You should search (see above) for existing discussions prior to creating a new one to avoid duplication.
When creating a New Discussion, Poll, or Question, please be sure to select the appropriate Make/Model category and input the model year. If the topic is not intended for a particular Make/Model/Year, select “General” as the Category. Enter a Discussion Title and your initial comment. To make your discussion even more specific, add appropriate Tags. You may enter your own, or click on “Show Popular Tags” and select from that list.
How to Follow/Bookmark a Discussion
To Bookmark a discussion, look for the star to the right of the discussion title on any list of discussions, or at the top of a discussion you have open. Hover your cursor over it and click once. The star will turn yellow denoting that discussion can now be accessed by clicking My Bookmarks on the right side of any forums page. If you no longer wish to follow a discussion, just click the star again to turn off the Bookmark.
Example in an open discussion...
If there are any new posts in your bookmarked discussions, you will see a yellow "new" flag showing the number of new posts since your last visit to the discussion.
If you want to read earlier posts in a discussion, you can navigate to the various pages of the discussion by clicking on the page navigation links found at the top and bottom of each discussion page
When logged in, your screen name will appear in your Forums tool box on the right side of every Forums page. It will display if you have new notifications sent to you by other members. Click on the world icon to view list of all notifications. Click on the envelope to view list of personal messages. To open your profile, click on the gear icon or simply click on your screen name.
The main Profile page is your personal wall. It displays the Badges you've earned, the number of Reactions your comments have received, and members can also post comments on your wall. Under Activity, you can select to view a list of all the Discussions and Comments you have posted, plus the number of Messages and Warnings you have received. From your Profile page, you can upload a photo for your avatar. Click on the current "face". Then click on Change Picture and follow the directions.
Editing Your Profile
To add information or make changes to your profile, click on "Edit Profile". You can also access this by clicking on the gear icon in your Forums tool box. From this page, you can choose what you wish to share with other members. After entering information or making changes, be sure to click on Save.
Notification Preferences/Quote Settings/Signature Settings
Setting Notification Preferences
From Notification Preferences, you can select to receive alerts by Email, Popup, or both. After selecting, be sure to click "Save Preferences".
NOTE: Getting email notifications when people comment in discussions can be handy, but in a very busy discussion, the notifications can become overwhelming. In general, bookmarking discussions and checking your My Bookmarks list is a less intrusive way to check for new activity in discussions your are involved in.
Quote Settings
This setting determines how many levels of quoted comments you would like to view within a comment. The default is set at 1 level, but you may choose up to 5 levels, or "Don't ever fold quotes."
Signature Settings
In this setting you can create a signature that will appear at the bottom of all your posted comments. You may also select not to view other member signatures and/or images within signatures.
