Got it, thanks for clarifying. So this deal is slightly better than I thought (almost 15% off MSRP) - had to infer some information from the numbers I was being given which is getting less and less detailed! Going to wait them out a bit more and see what happens.

Lease cash = dealer cash: Honda-to-dealer incentive

Loyalty and conquest are not compatible. You get one or the other. (assuming those are valid)

I did. It was a straight up, reasonable quote. I had been in the market for awhile and there are not too many '19 Accord Sport 2.0T around here that matched my color preference.

Then there were sketchy responses to my online enquiries (refrained from sharing a call back number) from other dealers who took their own, sweet time, to online enquiries. In this day and age, a lot of dealers will have to beef up their internet responses. Quite a few insist on coming in personally to work out a better price. If there is no transparency upfront in quoted numbers, why would anyone be that gullible to go to such places and waste time.

My payments went down by about $28 per month because I paid $1k upfront.
