Great pic. Scale is correct. Ford GT 40. 40 inches tall.

Two guys on the left comparing sandals. Or something. The girl looks bored. But the boy with his hand on the driver's door looks ready to climb behind the wheel. So I'm guessing LHD, Mk I road car.

1964 Bug, 1966 Supercar and mod mod world apparel from 1968.

    It's a 1984 Imperial /Frank Sinatra Edition!
That would be quite the trick considering that the Imperial went out of production in 1983 and the Sinatra edition wasn't offered after the 1982 model year. :sunglasses:

Yup that is a road-going version of the awesome Ford GT-40.

It turns out there were at least two different types of the GT-40 that were used as road cars.
Wikipedia shows this pic as a Mk.1 converted for Road use:

Before the mid 1960s it wasn't unusual to license high performance endurance racers for street use but with the emergence of mid-engined prototype cars that became more difficult.

A small number of the GT-40s were completed as Mk. 3s specifically for street use. I believe
that is the case w the brown car with its wire wheels and the F-O-R-D on the nose but as you can see there is little difference between that and the silver car.

A movie about the Ford-Ferrari battles that birthed the GT-40 is set to premiere on November 15. https://foxmovies.com/movies/ford-v-ferrari

The MK III variants built for the street had a different body than the MK I. Easiest ways to spot are the changes to the front clip (headlights/bumpers) and the side windows.
    MK III chassis # 1103

LHD MK III chassis # 1105

The MK III was more spensive and slower with its 289/4bbl instead of the GT 40 MK I chassis # 1054 below with 289 + four twin-choke Weber carbs making 390 hp at 7000 rpm.

edit to add: These are all road cars and according to Hemmings chassis #1054 was originally built to road car specifications and then "selected to participate in Ford’s Mk I Promotion and Disposal Program." Disposal? Egad. :s

I do not get why the green MK.I and the silver one I posted would have come with wire wheels (Borranis?) They are much more fragile than the alloy wheels that were used on all GT40 race cars.

It's a 1949 Jaguar XK-120 FHC on NY SR 14 which is the main drag in that town, once the home of the US Grand Prix and the Glen 6hr Endurance race. Part of Rt. 14 was the original Glen race circuit before it was moved to the outskirts.
The still unidentified TV personality behind the wheel was a huge Jaguar fan who restored and raced a prewar Jag SS-100.

It's almost impossible to tell model year, this one's a 1970 (last yr before the 240Z relaced the roadsters. It's also hard to tell a 1600 from a 2000. I think the 2000 had a more open grille.

I doubt anyone is going to name the obscure blue coupe with the ventiports, it is a Salmson Randonee G72 ca 1951. Salmson is a french maker of mechanical pumps that branched out into automobile and aircraft manufacturing. After French lawmakers slapped a huge tax on
engines over 1600cc, they cranked out a few sports coupes and raced them at LeMans then dropped out of the auto business.

I don't think this particular 'Yota was ever officially exported to the US of A but apparently it was sold in a wide range of markets. It was featured on TV in the last episode of The Grand Tour as the first "tall car" to be sold in Britain (in the 1980s), paving the way for waves of vans, SUVs and CUVs.

The black 49-51 Mercury (Lead Sled) is a two-door sedan. The black over red Merc Monterey hardtops could be a '54 or '55, it's really hard to tell the difference. I think the black circular emblem near the tip of the side spear is a tell for a 1954. '55s has that emblem right on the spear.

I'm confused about the confusion of 54 and 55 Mercurys.

The 55 had completely different tailights.
The 53 and 54 had similar patterns but the 53 had chrome tailight with insert
and the 54 had metal shaping with more stylized red insert.
