So the car I'm interested In has an MSRP of $43.990. They are offering me a payment of $482 tax and 1st payment included because I'm putting a total of $6,000 down payment. The Residual value they told me would be 60%, and the Money factor is 0.00269. Does that sound like a good deal ? or can I still manage to negotiate a Money factor closer to the 0.00119 that you told me about ?

Uh, no - that is a terrible deal.

Tell them you want the base MF or you'll find a different dealer. Don't worry about anything else at this point. Don't let them distract you.

Second, the only money we recommend you give the dealer when you sign the paperwork is the first payment and any registration costs. Anything beyond that would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

And, it doesn't change the total cost of the lease.

Would the base MF be the 0.00119 ? How would I Counter offer MF to get it lower. We are giving $6,000 - $8,000 down to get a lower lease monthly payment. How would I achieve that if I only pay paperwork, first payment and registration costs.

If you need a lower lease payment, you should shop for a less expensive car.
