No issues with the numbers. If you want a lower payment, you need a lower selling price.

The payment calculation is correct.

I'll guess the $1470 is random.. They needed to get enough CAP reduction to get your total payment under $500/mo.

Doesn't seem like a good value.

Thanks for this! I confirmed with the dealer that the driveoff is actually $0. Not sure why it showed $1,470 first. Any better? (considering the lease program on this doesn't seem that great in the first place)

Okay.. now I get it. The driveoff is $1470. Which is covered by the rebate.

So, the sale price is correct. But the only CAP reduction is the leftover amount from the $1470 (as I noted before. So, now the CAP cost makes sense, as well.

I don't think you'll be able to do a lot better, given the lease program.

Yeah, those do seem to lease well and definitely considering as an alternative. But my wife is kinda set on a lot of those tech features and for what you get the CX-5 (esp. the more discounted 2019s) seem pretty good

Well, when you amortize the $5000 trade equity over the lease term, your true payment is around $432. Still, not too bad for a $38K car that has an average lease program.

I'd use the equity to pay the first payment and registration costs, and have the dealer cut you a check for the balance. Roll the taxes and fees into the monthly payment.

I'm looking to lease a 2019 CX-5 GT AWD with the GT premium package. I got a sale price of $30,471 via email for one with an MSRP of $34,645. They then quoted a me a monthly payment of $435 a with 0 down which seems too high for 36 months/36,000 miles.
