Overheating

Ive replaced the coolant reservoir, thermostat and coolant. Took it out for 10-15 minute drive but still overheated. Before doing the replacement it would overheat only if I was pushing on the gas pedal for awhile. While my foot was off the gas pedal it would then cool down. No problems with A/C or heater
Any suggestions on what else to try?

    You need to include the year, model, and engine information for the car.

    Thanks for responding. I should have included mileage, but I'll guess 150K miles?

    Is the engine full of coolant. I believe the 2.2 has a specific way to fill certain versions to get the air bubbles out.
    This Saturn may be similar to your application of the 2.2 L. Same as in my cobalt 2008.
