I’m seeing $16898. Not seeing the other price you mention.

Can’t be too sure what they have in it, since there is no mention of it, I’m assuming it is not a Premiere or Platinum trim, in which case the auction value is south of $13k. Could prob get them to knock $1k off. Maybe $1500.

I was seeing Cargurus or Carfax or something popping up in my FB with a thumbnail of it for $15600. Maybe that's an old price?

Dealer Notes says it's a Platinum, and it's got all the Helen Keller stuff... BLIS, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise. Anything on the T6 I need to be on the lookout for? Is the bevel gear still a tricky spot in that generation? I know the 5-cylinder turbos like to clog the PCV, but no idea if the T6 has a better design.

Hey @qbrozen I see a bunch of 2019 mustang convertibles in the ecoboost premium trim just hit the market. According to carfax reports they went through auction in mid June. Most have 20-30k miles. Do you see them in the auction data? Wondering what they went for. Most are $25-27k asking on local lots.

Platinum is about $1k more. So, if that is the case, and you find an ad for $15.6k, that would be a very good deal.

I’m not intimately familiar with that generation, so maybe do some digging on swedespeed

My sister is looking to sell her car - with 3 kids who drive and have their own cars, and all of them at home, she's running out of room to park them.

    2008 Lexus RX400 Hybrid
    Dark Grey with Grey interior

A few expected dings on the outside, and the interior could use a good detailing (should she get it done?)

    Pretty new tires, she says.

All maintenance records since she bought it with 110K on the clock.

The issue is that it has 180K miles.

I'm rather shocked at what these are worth even with those miles.

Assuming AWD, would you believe $5k at the block? Yes, if selling herself, she needs to shine it up like her last diamond. She could try $7995 and see what bites.

Heck, maybe they'll take it on BaT? lol.

No. But estimated auction value is $27.5k. So figure $30k-$31k retail.

Seems like a lot for a volvo with near 50k miles. An comparable XC60 T6 Inscription is a whopping $7k less.

Thanks @qbrozen I was thinking closer to $30k as well. I'm going to go look at it today, as @tjc78 and @stickguy commented it's a great color combo.

I drove a V60CC with @breld last weekend and the T5 is just too underpowered for me so I'm focusing on the V90CC with the T6. Carvana offered $32k for the Tacoma which I'm happy with so if this checks out I'm inclined to swap.

I generally prefer the look of the wagon over the XC60. I've driven a couple of XC60s and they just didn't do it for me. The V60CC is the better size for me but I need the T6 which isn't offered in that model.

I did a quick drive of the V90CC today, it's on a donut spare right now due to a nail in a tire so it was quick. Overall it was great consider the age and mileage, will probably see if we can work some numbers when they get a tire in for it.

The current T6 is great IMO. Can get up to speed quickly and smoothly with no lag. The faint supercharger whine is fantastic too.

Don’t you already have a sporty Volvo coupe? Good experience?
    Yes, I have a 2008 Volvo C30 and it's a great car, plus I had a 2015.5 S60 that I leased.

I've always been a fan of Volvos. My uncle had a 240 and 740 when I was growing up and a cousin had a GL for many years, so I'm a bit partial to the brand. I've enjoyed the Tacoma but after 2 years I'm ready for something new and a little more refined.

I never thought I'd own a Volvo until I had that S90 rental and the rest is history.

    Q,
I am curious how you liked the '19 Ioniq plug in and how the current market is for used ones.

There are some really good deals on leftover '19 Limiteds with the Ultimate package here in MA.
Stickers for 33K + and it looks like I can buy for 26K-27K + ttl.
The 26K-27K quotes also do not include 4500 fed tax credit and 1500 Massachusetts EV rebate.
It takes a few months to get the MA rebate and I would not see the tax credit until I file next year, but I could be all in for a brand new plug in for the low 20K's.

    Thoughts?

It is a nice economy car with stupendous mileage. If I didn’t make money on the deal, I’d still have it.

Oh, and a limited 2019 with low to no miles is worth $23k at auction, so $20k is a bargain.

BTW, I had zero issues charging up from 110v. I would suggest using at least a 15A circuit with no other load on it, however.

Hey @qbrozen - a friend of mine is looking at a 2018 Raptor in Westport, CT. 21K miles. Fully loaded recent trade in at a Toyota dealership. Original sticker $79K. Grey over Black. 10/10 exterior - 10/10 interior. Asking $60K. What do you think?
