There are no Audi incentives on this vehicle. Guessing that these times will have little effect on pricing.

We don't see enough action on R8s to make any sort of guess.

I’ve never leased and I feel like Audi Dealership is trying to take me to the cleaners. Lease details are: MSRP $195,400 with negotiated price of $175,000. 36 months, 5000 miles a year, $10,000 down at $2550 a month financing through Audi Financial. They said I was a tier 3 whatever that means. The salesman was trying desperately to deliver the car to me at home but I held off since I got a bad feeling this is a bad dead. I want the car but I don’t want to be raped. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I do not know what the $10k covers.
They originally told me when they pulled my credit that I would need at least $10k down to get approval since I had 4 open autos(I don’t know if that was just car business games) I said okay and then they came back and said I would need $15k and that my payments would be $2550 with the 15k. When I said I would get back to them after a few days the salesman said I would be okay with only $10k down with the same payments. That didn’t make sense to me. You help is much appreciated.

Leaving everything else aside, the prices you've shared gives me a payment of $2271/mo.

In Texas, you are responsible for the sales tax on the entire purchase price - at 6.25%, that's almost $11,000. There is an acquisition fee, and likely a dealer fee, plus the registration costs.

If you are only giving them $10,000 to start, then the balance of those items would be added back into the selling price and becomes part of the monthly payment.

Ask them to share with you a copy of the lease worksheet - that way, we won't be guessing and can also determine if they've marked up the MF for extra profit (or, becuase of your credit).

Do you know if you have 4 open auto loans on your credit history? I'd confirm all that, and not trust what the dealer is telling you.

Update: after refusing to send me detailed numbers for my review a sales manager called me this afternoon quoting me payments of $2275.00 (36) months, 7500 miles a year, $10k down. I asked how that was possible and he said something about some certificate that their dealership is given along with an additional tax credit. I asked what the MF was and he said 0.0034. He said they did not want to send me numbers as I requested in fear that I would shop them with another dealership. Does this seem right?

His fear about you shopping the numbers? Yeah, that seems right.

But, if they are offering you tax credits, that's a big deal. In TX, that takes the tax rate from 6.25% down to 1%. On a purchase price that large, the tax drops to under $2000 instead of almost $11K.

I'll admit I don't understand how they can drop the MF down to .00034. Even using multiple security deposits will only drop it to .00131.

They could, I suppose, use a different bank for the lease. If that's the case, then we won't have any insight into the program numbers.

Hi, this is a lease in 89052. why do the numbers not add up?
I was told 54% residual 5k miles.. so 55% with audi care. and .00161 mf..

my calculation with a down of 22781.16 of which 578.25 fees???
with 8.375 tax rate i get $2202.91

Maybe I got some numbers mixed?
