Air compressor--didn't come with a carrying case for storing in the trunk with the extra air nozzles. It's those little air nozzles that get lost even with a case.

This one does come with a case. Should I return the one I have and order the other one?

Does anyone know where to buy the simple small tool bag for things like this?

I don’t want to sound like a Harbor Freight salesman but Harbor Freight has a good assortment of sizes of those heavy duty zippered canvas bags and their quality is at least equal to the bags you’d find elsewhere. I would rather buy tools from manufacturers that supply hard cases (pretty rare nowadays) but at least those canvas bags but I bought several tools years ago that were not supplied either way. Hence, I had to buy generic canvas bags. The down side is that the manufactures name is not on the bag so I don’t even have a fighting chance as to what tool is in what bag. Therefore, I find myself opening a few bags before I get to the tool I want. That bugs the hell outta me. I either have to improve my memory or I have too damn many power tools in generic bags.☹️

So it was my fault for not catching the case. I am debating returning for another similar one or a triangular shaped one. I posted queries about the case on the reviews, hoping it will help someone else avoid my mistake.

That jump start one is a nice compact unit. The only thing I question is the readout is a gauge, I find it more exact to have a digital readout....also nice if it is dark. Also, not sure if I would want them all in one unit, usually you only need one or the other, might be easier to just deal with the one you are using.

Nope, I have seen them get around baffles. We had a neighbor who used them on bird feeders hanging from a tree limb. The damn squirrels would climb down to the baffle and start swinging the bird feeder to scatter the seeds on the ground then would jump down and eat the seeds.

Keep your garbage can in the garage or some place inside. Raccoons are clever and will drag your garbage can until it opens and they can feast. Even lashed down they will do their best to get access. Noisy, too.

We had a bird feeder for awhile that had a motorized ring at the bottom. Something as heavy as a squirrel would send the thing spinning like a top, squirrel and all. It was fun in a perverse way to see them flying around trying to hold on only to get flung into the bushes.

The problem was, the raccoons had no trouble climbing down the tree branch and turning the feeder upside down dumping it’s contents. Every morning I was greeted by the squirrels happily eating leftovers from the raccoons.

I think it was a conspiracy between them.😤

Agree about the gauge analogue readout. I have told son if a tire goes down there's likely a nail in it, so fill to 40-45 and hope that keeps it aired up so you can get home, unless you want to wait on AAA or wait 1:45 for State Farm roadside to never come...LOL. So he doesn't have to try to read a gauge closely while filling with air.

The advantage to the jump start unit with built in compressor is you don't have to rig the power cord to the cigarette lighter for 12 V. It's using the Lithium battery in the unit--it's truly portable.

But got ya covered on wanting the digital and auto cutoff: $129

    I like the digital readout on that unit. Possibly another solution to a nail in the tire when in the middle of nowhere is;

Portability is worth something. I guess like most things it depends on your circumstances....how much safety do you want.

Nope, I have seen them get around baffles. We had a neighbor who used them on bird feeders hanging from a tree limb. The damn squirrels would climb down to the baffle and start swinging the bird feeder to scatter the seeds on the ground then would jump down and eat the seeds.

I think it was a conspiracy between them.😤
I wouldnt be surprised! We had a fixed bird feeder on a pole with a baffle and the squirrels never were able to get over it. However, on a round feeder hanging off our balcony, they would lean out over the balcony on their little tippy toes, grab the feeder and chug the contents.
Raccoons, however, would get up the onto the pole feeder and tear out the suet feeders (why bother with neatness when you can just rip something apart), eat the entire suet cake and walk (or roll) away. Other than a massive coronary from all that suet, they were fine. The bird seed didn’t interest them. Now my cat, who was a merciless killer, could spring from the ground in one leap and catch any unfortunate bird lingering there. We put a bell on her collar, and she learned to leap in a way that didn’t set off the bell. Creatures are very resourceful!

I’d love to be able to keep my cans in the garage, but we don’t have space. I have them tied down well and the raccoons have never gotten in. But they’re definitely getting in somewhere...

Our creature problems down here are “pythons” in the Everglades and “iguanas” just about everywhere in central and south Florida.

The pythons are destructive to all living things in the Everglades because there are so many of them that “are not indigenous” to Florida. They have no natural enemies or predators so they destroy every living thing. Florida has a “bounty” system set up based on the size and sex of the python destroyed.

Iguanas have gotten so numerous that they are becoming a serious problem to farmers - they are herbivores. The ones I see around my community are the green iguanas. They grow quite large. When the temps drop into the 40’s at night, they fall to the ground from trees. Then, when it warms up during the day, they become ambulatory once again.

Raccoons are dangerous down here because they often succumb to rabies and have been known to bite.

Aah, yes, this is a “tropical” paradise - for the animals, snakes and insects. But it is nice for humans from November through May!🤓😜

That is what I tell Mrs D.....she is making the birds rely on us for their food. They should become self reliant or they will lose their ability to fend for themselves. STOP FEEDING THE BIRDS.

Any time a species reproduces out of control they become pests. In nature disease usually breaks out in high density populations and brings the numbers back down. The trouble is you don’t want a bunch of rabid raccoons chasing you down the street before they die. That’s when eradication becomes necessary.

With the Iguanas, why doesn’t the city wait for a cold night and then go about sweeping them up for disposal? That would make it easier if we could do that with pests up here.🤔

Remember that all too well. I had just got my license. They shut down all the roads in and around SW OH. Of course, that’s not going to stop a 16 year old.

Boy, you could you do some doughnuts on those ice/snow streets when no one is driving on it.

Cop caught me (wasn’t too hard, I was the only one on the street doing doughnuts). He said someone reported me (still looking for that curmudgeon). Courts lifted my license for 30 days. After that, I was right back at it.

I watched that Scotty episode. He was so serious, even did it without sunglasses on at first (yes, he has actual eyes).

it is actually a nice thing he is doing (for the many that won't click to view). Donating free diagnostic services to any member of the military at the local AFB. He even mentioned a problem I had heard of before, with unscrupulous car lots preying on soldiers and their family at these bases. Of course he gets video content out of the deal, but still nice for the military people that don't have to pay for stuff!

No, but that’s one reason it spreads so fast. I was thinking, humans must be a vexation to Mother Nature. She sets up an elegant system to keep everything in balance and we keep messing things up with vaccines and self isolation.

I wonder when the raccoons will start limiting the number of relatives allowed in the garbage can together.

Birds are opportunists when it comes to feeding, they will not become reliant on any one source of food. They will not lose the ability to fend for themselves. A bird feeder becomes A source of food not THE source of food.

Hard to say (or post) anything that doesn't offend somebody somewhere. Oh well, water is wet!
Still I hope that saying "Thank you for your service" gets backed up with deeds to make the words ring true.

And as Scotty said in the video, "I'm old!" so he already knows that no good deed goes unpunished. I'm glad he reached out with an offer to help people who really need it.
