    Can I have the numbers for a Prius Limited for 36 months with 15,000 for 24541?

    I have a question about the tax credits. I know I can claim the tax credit on my taxes if I do a lease and the credit actually goes to the leasing company. Will the leasing company treat the tax credit they get as a down payment to lower my lease payments? If not, how will the tax credit be treated with regard to a lease.

    Thanks for answering all my questions. If there are no incentives for a prius officially can you usually talk a dealer down on a lease to just lower the selling price by $7,500 to compensate for the tax credit the bank is getting? Maybe I am thinking about it wrong but it seems if the selling price is not adjusted or something the bank is double-dipping for the first $7,500 since they get $7,500 from the government and then my lease is based on the price of the car not considering the $7,500 the bank is already getting. I keep reading on other pages that the bank/dealer will pass the tax credit value to the buyer to make the lease payments lower by lowering the sale price of the car.

    The dealer doesn't participate in the tax credit. You should certainly negotiate a discount, but the rest of it is irrelevant.

    This vehicle would be very, very expensive to lease. If you have to have it, you should buy it.
