Thanks for your responses in both threads. I was able to leverage a much better deal. A little over $300/mo for the outback. I think they knew the wife had made up her mind though, so not as good as it could have been.

Hmm. They’re saying mf is .00185 and thus far not offering a lower monthly price.

Dealer can only mark up the MF by .00050, I thought.

Might be time to find another dealer.

Hi, dealer is quoting me a residual value of 62% on the outback base. Money factor was what you quoted. Is it possible that he is using the zip code of the dealership instead of mine? I went across state lines to Indiana to look at one. It’s right over the state line but could that be the difference? He is in 46410 I am in 60418. Thanks

The residual is national, and the dealer cannot alter it. 62% is the 36/15 residual; they probably didn't look at the 3% adjustment for 10K.
