2022 Kia Forte Lease Deals and Prices

Just leased a 2022 Kia Forte, the dealership put a 42% residual value at end of 3 year lease (Original value $25,462, value at end of lease $10,830) This seems very low. They also added a Rent charge for added depreciation and amoritization
Has anyone else had this very low residual value??

    The residuals are certainly not 42%, in any case.
    Unless, they used a different bank. And, if they did, I'm not certain why they would.

    I have the Kia Forte SD, I got 15K miles per year and I am located in NJ. Based on what I have read this residual value is very low. If I chose to purchase the car it is to my benefit, but if I return the car I am overpaying for 3 years. Kia may be forcing my hand to purchase the car

    I'd say you forced your own hand by taking a bad lease deal. If you truly wanted to get rid of it after three years, you probably should have picked a different model.
