    2022 Mazda CX-9 Touring+
    30 months / 12k miles annually.
    MSRP: $42,885
    Sale Price: $42,685 (thanks Covid)
    MF: .00005
    RV: 65%
    Fee’s: $1,504.05
    Rebates: $1,000

    We are trading in (end of lease) my wife’s 2019 CX-9 Grand Touring w/ 40k miles. They are offering $31,500 for it. Dealer payoff is $26,226.50, which gives her an equity of $5,273.53, plus the $1,000 in rebates. This would essentially be her “money down,” she isn’t coming out of pocket (thanks Covid?).

    They were originally at $415 per month. I was at $385. They are coming back w/ $391.38, monthly. We are preparing to accept their offer. Just wanna make sure I’m calculating the #’s correctly. Thoughts?

    You have to subtract the fees, and the first payment, from the trade equity - what's left after that is the cap reduction (down payment).

    Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is, and how they arrived at that number from the selling price.

    BTW, we don't recommend you use the equity for cap reduction - it doesn't change the cost of the lease, and you'll lose that money if the car is stolen or totaled during the lease term.

    Dealer is stating the adjusted cap cost = $40,248.06. Trying to get the explanation now.

    With those prices, I too get $385/mo.

    Could be a markup to the MF that accounts for the difference.

    Noticing the previous post and I wasn't award that MFS (TFS) offered a potentially favorable 30 month term for leasing. Can you please provide the 30 month 10k mile per year figures for the following AWD 2022 Mazda CX-9 trims for zip 98006?

    Grand Touring

    Aside from loyalty, are there any incentives available for any of these trims in my region? Thank you for your assistance.
