2020 Acura RDX tech SH-AWD, 2023 Maverick hybrid Lariat luxury package.
I guess that’s another way of saying, “pick any year and you could be wrong”.
Me personally, I’d have no patience dealing with Ford for a Maverick order.

best guess I have seen is maybe 10,000? but the bigger issue is, the ones getting pushed are mostly ones with constraints and it is not like those are all disappearing in the fall. so you might be 1st on the list but still not get built for a while.

But, borrowing the Q5 is definitely the path of least resistance, and again, the quality of the used cars in the price range I'm comfortable taking a flyer on is quite poor and it's becoming frustrating. I really lucked out buying the Prius, in spite of its flaws.
I told my dealer when I emailed that I am very happy to roll over, and wanted to upgrade from an XLT to a Lariat when it does. it can show up whenever it feels like. Don't really care at this point! Who knows if I even end up buying it whenever if finally shows up.
I am over 8 months waiting at this point. a 2023 will not be delivered until December at the earliest so even if mine was one of the first built it would be at least 14 months since I ordered it. good thing I really like the one I have!

Turns out I can’t read. It’s an opel manta. The model that came out in 1976-1988. Replacing the body I had (a 75). Must have been what the rest of the world got when the US got the opel by Isuzu.

I heard that gold Benz was bought for use as a traveling massage parlor.

You thought wrong.

OK but it was the massage that killed the guy. Saves one step anyway.

I love it! Great find

That thing is unbelievably clean.
I was about to toss the doilies but then noticed this.
I’ll have to get back to you with total. I think by the time I pay tax, it’ll be around $4200.

@qbrozen - nice find! I can’t believe how clean that car is. Did you know it’s condition before you bid or was it just from whatever auction photos there were?
@corvette - I know how patient you are with picking out used cars. There’s a lot of garbage and a lot of cars being flipped by curbstoners and they aren’t cheap, I think borrowing. Your parents’ Audi is the way to go when the tundra lease is up. I know you’ll keep the interior clean as you can. As long as you put some sort of cover down it will stay good.

This was rated a 4, with 6 being the max, and you can have 3.5 and 4.5, as well, so there are 8 grades. Here are 3 and up, to give you an idea:
6 New
5 As new with no condition faults
4.5 Very clean, one panel affected by minor paint blemish
4 More than one panel affected by minor paint blemishes
3.5 Some attention to panel and paint is required
3 Rough overall condition
But you also have to look at the letter grades for exterior and interior. Those are ... well, I read A-D, but I have seen E on reports, so I'll have to say there is A-E. Mine was a C/B for ext/int. Then it gets really tricky because you have to start considering the combination of numbers and letters AND considering the auction house. Some are more liberal than others. Granted, I have yet to see much, and I only have this one example, but my limited experience has me focusing on 3.5 to 4.5 and nothing below a C. You can sometimes click on a 3.5 and find a B/B grading, while you click on another 3.5 and find D/D. So each piece doesn't make a whole lot of sense and you have to take everything into consideration. I've requested info on 4, B/B cars and they come back with "not original paint, not original miles, corrosion underneath" (or some combo of those) and I'm left wondering how the hell it got the rating it did. Or you'll see a 3.5 C/B and see clearcoat totally shot on the hood and roof. Mine was a C/B, so how can a vehicle with shot clearcoat be a C/B? I'll also look at RA cars. RA means a car that has had "minor" bodywork. I've run into the occasional RA, B/B vehicle with one fender replaced. I'd be fine with that on a $5k car with super low miles.
In other words, it ain't easy and you gotta look at every detail you can. Obviously, my bidding takes all of that into consideration. I won't pay top dollar unless all signs point to a good car.
Oh yeah, and some auctions don't have 2 letters; they have the number and then they give one letter that represents the interior. I don't rely on those, though. I have yet to bid on a car at an auction that uses this abbreviated system.
I should point out that I have attempted to buy more Glorias since and none are going for what I paid on this one. I am pretty confident this one slipped through the cracks and I got lucky. Not that we're talking a ton of money, but those with 2-3x the miles and similar grading have been getting double what I paid. It could very well be a color issue. We like the dark green metallic here, but maybe that's not desirable in Japan. I notice they have A LOT of pearl white cars, and those seem to command a premium. Green sedans seem to be pretty rare. It is more common on the SUVs.

There is a market for anything JDM if only for the novelty. Let alone a running, driving, very clean daily for someone for a reasonable price. Even if he sells it for $7500 or $8k, that’s a good price for a well sorted daily.
As previously posted; more than double the miles and smaller engine:
https://carsandbids.com/auctions/Kd67p7w1/1996-nissan-gloria-gran-turismo
With the 3.0 in mine, it is a 4-door 300z. Or, as I mentioned a while back, a JDM 530i. Ha.

Before buying one for that, I’d ask @Sandman6472 if it would be a legal US mail hauler.

I’m starting to see a few TLX Type S on the road. They did a great job with those. Very sharp looking!

The brakes worked really well. But it did not like having ~4100-4200 lbs out back when it came to turning or broken pavement. And I would have felt so much better if the trailer had brakes, too, regardless of how well the Jeep’s work. I got a lot of sideways looks from the dock workers. Lol.

So, I decided to take a look at my average energy consumption on the Tesla over the first couple charging cycles to understand how aggressively I’ve been testing the car. An average of 345 wh/mile. To give you some sense, Tesla’s estimates are based off a combined average of 304. Hahahahaha.
Once I started driving like a human most of the time my averaged dropped to 294.
We get about 600 in the Jeep. Haha.
