Would chains be provided? My sister asked that question last night, and I had no idea. I've never had them available on any car I've rented over the years.

I’m actually not sure about that but worth asking. Again, it’s so early in the season I truly doubt you’d need them.

Way too low of miles to get rid of it, less than 14K miles. Doing that would never let me know how good their soup is. Further, I don’t want to spoil myself by having someone come and getting my car. And another thing, I can’t get a V8 again, I wouldn’t know how to act if I got 20 MPG or more.

I celebrate 2 Thanksgivings, the one in Canada that was on October 13th, and the one today when I am in Florida. I am walking over to my neighbors (I spelled it neighbours the first time) to celebrate!

Your car is 10 years old and you have 14000 miles on it, that's like 1400 miles a year, 125 miles a month 30 miles a week,........have you ever heard of Uber!

Yes, and extra points if they take Highway 2 over the mountains to Leavenworth rather than the more common I90 route. It is certainly the more scenic option if they are fortunate enough to make the drive during daylight hours!

Leavenworth looks like a neat place. I've only driven through a couple of times, but it has a Bavarian theme to the whole town (or, at least, the whole downtown area), and it is particularly beautiful at night during this time of year.

I think I can safely estimate that the chances of that are exactly ZERO. The best she might get is a window scraper / snowbrush combination. The good news is that WA DOT does a great job of maintaining those roads, so there is little chance of drama unless some yahoo caused a small pileup, because WA is super-trigger-happy about closing the roads for that sort of thing. My first time on 2 (that I can recall) was due to that very scenario on I90... after spending about an hour stranded on the road before finally being able to make my way to an exit, back-track to 97, and then work my way around.

It is my understanding that my nephew's girlfriends family visit Leavenworth each December specifically to see the decorations. This trip will be special because a certain question is going to be asked, which is why my sister and BIL are going.

There's an apparently little known recent regulation that requires the carrying of chains for WA pass travel in winter. Not sure if it has ever been enforced, however.

By the weather models we appear to be heading into yet another warm spell, maybe presaging another disappointing winter (in terms of cold and snow - last year we got about half of normal), if they are doing this in the next week or two there's a good chance the drive won't be bad.

What I have learned is that your car won't be worth much more than one with 80000 miles on it.
My 2014 C250 is worth about $6800 if I sell it to one of those "We Buy Cars" sites and it has 48000 miles on it...it looks and drives like a new car. I am pretty sure I can get $11000 for it privately.
If I sold it to "We Buy Cars" I'd get $6800, and then I'd have to spend $16000 to $20000 to get a car that would be as good as the C250.

That sounds like an expensive way to get a backup camera.
