Hello, Carnaught here. Since you have a Chevrolet EV, you are my “go to” about them, if it’s all right with you. I am considering leasing an Equinox LT EV. Can you share the pros and cons of your Chevy EV experience? Many thanks in advance or let me know if you would prefer not doing so!

Sure! I absolutely love my Blazer 2LT, AND like all new tech it has its quirks too.
I believe the Equinoz rides similarly, it’s just smaller, more RAV4 size, a compact vs. a midsize.
Pros: Ride is smooth and it handles very well. The Blazer is a great road trip car because 5 adults (or a family with car seats) can ride in absolute comfort. I imagine the Equinoz front seats are similar, while it is narrower overall so the back would be better suited to 2 adults than 3. They both have lots of storage space.
I love the dash and the big screens as well as actual physical buttons. The vents are easy to operate and look sharp IMO. I like hopping in the car and saying Hey Google! Take us to (place name, town, address) and the route and navigation pop right up on the screen. And it’s google maps, so the nav is pretty much always good. We also ask Google to play whatever media we want (we use Sirius XM most of the time).
I also personally think they are sharp looking vehicles.
It’s cheaper to charge even at public stations than the cost of gas here in California.
And huge pro is the price. With all the incentives I’m riding in a fully loaded vehicle for an outlay of around $40k. My Sportage PHEV cost more!
Cons: Finding charging stations on the road is still not as easy as finding a gas station, you have to plan out your route using apps like plug share. The range is good but charging can be slower than I’d like. However we have taken 2 280-300 mile trips and are about to take a 400 mile trip next week, and we just use the stop (or 2 stops for the 400 mile one) to get coffee, walk the dog, use the bathroom etc. usually 30-40 min to charge to 95% because many public chargers don’t use the full amount they say they are capable of. The Blazer has about a 300 mile range but I don’t like to let it get too far down (same is true of ICE vehicles) when driving long stretches in the desert or farm valleys. That said, we still get to where we are going without any trouble.
The charging door. I am sure that door is gonna break some day but so far so good.
      Ask away!
