  • been in an accident???
  • flashing light then steady does not mean low tire pressure. it means something is wrong with the system. anyone do anything with your tires recently and broke a sensor? thats usually the number one cause.
  • when you start car the airbag light comes on and checks for airbags and system function. light goes off after a few seconds. if something wrong or is missing light will stay on or not come on at all if someone took bulb out.
  • every car ive ever seen with head curtain airbags says so on roof or one of the posts or both or everywhere. if it doesnt have them it wont say airbag anywhere up there. side seat airbags will say so on the seat itself.
  • i dont think kia s are maintenance hungry maybe just that particular dealer you went to. with all of the maintenance companies out there today selling dealers programs to up there service income any dealership shop can recommend alot of unnecessary …
  • id go with the sadona. 2010 vs 2005 and half the miles. seems like a no brainer and im not so sure that kia would have less reliability. kia/hyundai have proven to be excellent vehicle lately.
  • more and more cars do not have spare tires anymore because of weight savings fr epa mileage tests and lack of flat tires with tpms.
  • at saturn the e assist was called greenline. the greenline (e assist) came without spare but others had the spare.
  • i really like the 3.6 v6 not quite the mileage but close and alot more power and easier on the engine but it really doesnt matter because thanks to government regulations malibu no longer comes with a v6...
  • i have the original (2007 aura) and have been very happy with it. its a little over 5 years old and 68k miles. it had a couple minor things go wrong near the beginning but nothing major and they are things that have been corrected on the newer cars.…
  • the condition of the car has nothing to do with airbags going off. they work by weather or not you need the extra protection. they can go off with no damage to car if they feel you need them. the more the car bends the less likely you are to need th…
  • it is amazing how one engine can be so good yet in a particular car it is alot of trouble. why? who knows. my one daughter, as i posted has 29k on her ecotec equinox and is getting engine rebuilt because it is pretty much worn out. my other daughte…
  • they will only replace for out of round cylinder bore if you can catch your finger nail on it. if it is still smooth enough they wont unless it still burns oil when you get it back. amazing.
  • ive written a couple of times about how my daughters 2010 has been so good. well 29,000 miles and is getting the engine rebuilt. it was burning oil and running very rough. i saw the engine apart and it looked like a 150k mile engine. cams ground dow…
  • is it something that was changed for 2011 or have 2010s done this also.??? havnt heard of 2010s with this problem and wonder if they changed something.
  • gas mileage will improve with miles. dirty oil should be filtered out by oil filter so i wouldnt worry about that at this point. maybe they couldnt find any thing wrong so changing oil was the answer.
  • the gas mileage is advertising. they only say the highway mileage so unless thats all you do you wont get it. in the 80 s (last time gas prices skyrocketed) they made a law that the ads must highlight the city mileage. made for less angry customers.
  • i just cant believe the equinox has so many problems...i helped my daughter get a 2010 4cy ls back in oct 2009. 25k miles on it now and its been perfect. guess i feel pretty lucky..
  • this is really a sad story...takes the fun out of a new car. i always wonder if it is really the car or the people fixing it. one problem shouldnt lead to other problems. on the bright side they arnt all like that. my daughter has a 2010 equinox she…
  • e assist is a hybrid. battery behind back seats helps the engine for better mileage. gm started using it in 2007 with saturn greenlines on aura and vue. battery is now three times bigger. gm needs to get epa mileage up so trying to sell alot of hybr…
  • malibu was the deluxe chevelle. as lemans was to the tempest...cutlass to f85 and skylark to special...
  • dont know how they could say sensor is bad because if it was bad you would have known before you even got there to get the tires. direct tpms went back to about 2002 and ramped up to 100 percent for 2008. place should be plenty used to working on th…
  • they shouldnt break if installer follows proper procedure for removing tire from the rim. they should be getting more used to watching out for them as more and more cars they service have them.
  • code should clear automatically when problem is fixed. if you clear the code it will come back on if problem still is there. everytime you start the car it checks the airbag system and if a problem the light stays on.
  • i have and over time its exact. each tank may vary because its almost impossible to fill up exactly the same each time but if you keep track over time it should both match.
  • for years gm has had side airbag delete and xm radio delete for fleets. you can tell they dont have the airbags because of vin number and they do not say airbag in the usual places. but i guess to the untrained eye you wouldnt know theidfference.
  • generally on gm cars the lights come on within a minute of turning on the wipers....
  • equinox and gmc terrain are the same. the only difference is style so whichever style you like better. thats what id buy...
  • all 2011 gm cars in the us must use dexos oil or engine warranty may be voided. most oil change places and dealers probably havnt caught on to this yet but eventually will.
  • it is illegal for a new car to not have a window price sticker on it. large fine for dealer of caught.
  • another often overlooked thing with gas mileage is wind. driving into a strong wind can greatly effect mileage. i once took a 300 mile each way trip the same day. strong winds. 16 mpg going and 27 coming back.
  • its has always seemed like the smaller engines get good epa numbers but in real life the smaller engines work harder and struggle to get the mileage of the bigger engine. alot of weight for a 4 cyl in a sorento. look at other forums equinox etc. all…
  • just got back from a 4000 mile trip with my 2011 v6 ex. at 70 to 75 got 27 to 28. at 80 to 85 got 24 to 25. very happy with that for a vehicle with plenty of power to drive the faster roads.
  • the goverment makes the mileage numbers so you would have to sue the givernment. the honda lady is a different situation. her 2005 civic hybrid was recalled because of a battery problem and after the reflash she got 30 mpg instead of 50. the problem…
  • the government makes the mileage numbers not the car companies. i do think the car companies set up the cars to get best mileage under epa tests standards making it harder for the average person to hit the numbers but the car companies dont come up …
  • many cars in realy life get similar mileage 4cyl or 6cyl. 4 s do much better in epa testing which is very important to the car makers but an overworked ungine doesnt get good mileage. always been this way.
  • if i get going 60-65 and just keep driving i get 30-31 with my v6. no one could ever drive like that in real life but as long as i dont slow down or speed up i can get that
  • 2011 v6. average about 22mpg. highway only 24 to 27. has 20k miles on it now. it does take a few thousand miles before you should worry about mileage. also in real life many cars with v6 get similar mileage to 4 cyl. always has been that way because…
  • its really too bad that there isnt a way to get the word out to people before they buy the sorento to insist on a v6. same or better mileage and goes better. 4 cyl is too small and overworked on this car. everyone seems to like their car except for…
  • ive seen many say that ave mpg reading is off so i tested mine. it automatically resets at every fill up so cant keep running total. after 3 tanks each tank read on dash about 2 percent better than what i calculated. my odometer is off by 2 percent …
