  • My experience was good with Burkey and Hopkins. Bloomington was TERRIBLE. I contacted the fleet Mgr and he just played the if I do this, Would you buy today game. I told him firmly that I was going to buy today or tomorrow and if he would be willing…
  • I would try etrailer.com. They have a pet barrier that should work for the crv. I've bought a couple of hitches from them including one for my crv and I couldn't be happier. Also I have a card that they sent with my order with the code XBBJ7 it will…
  • I drive and love my CRV. I am 6'4" 230 lb and I fit just fine. I love the fact that the CRV s fuel efficient compared to my old 4WD pickup. If you aren't confident enough in your own masculinity then buy something else, but a vehicle doesn't make a …
  • There you go thinking logical again. The next thing you will be saying is that the fluids in cars need to be changed at some point. :P
  • Your honda dealership should have some or try http://www.handa-accessories.com not sure about how bad the scratch is but My old truck had scratches all over it from driving down old logging roads out west and I had it detailed and you couldn't tell …
  • Let every one know when you get to 300,000. Good Luck.
  • Keep the car in a vacuum sealed Garage and don't ever drive. Other than that wash and wax regularly see the link steve added.
  • I believe that if the heater core is leaking you should smell a sweeter smell from the antifreeze and there will be a film over the windshield. I'm not sure about the CRV but I had a Taurus that had this problem and I just disconnected the heater co…
  • It may well be but look at the MPG on the VW. Honda also boosted HP and kept the same MPG or improved it. Having driven a CRV for a while I can say the 166 HP is more than sufficient to get up to highway speed.
  • With gas prices being what they are I can't imagine Honda increasing the HP if it decreases the gas millage. I wouldn't be surprised to see a decrease in HP to increase MPG on some models.
  • The dealership needs all of your keys and the car to program the new key. They will charge 1 hour of service. It runs about $150 to program the key and at least my dealership said they can do up to 4 for the one hour of service. The blanks are like …
  • I replaced my bridgestone Dullers with goodyear assurance triple tread and the noise is dramatically lower and the handling is also quite a bit better. The tires that come on the CRV should be replaced before you drive the car off the lot.
  • With the 3rd generation I understand both bridgestone and michelins came as OEM, although I don't know what configuration came on which models. If you replace the tires before leaving the lot they are "new" tires and you may be able to receive some …
  • If you don't have auto zone around you, Pep boys, O'reiley ect will all have one that you can use for free.
  • I would try a local auto salvage yard. They should have one or be able to locate one.
  • bring it back to have them flush the differential. They might not of driven the CRV between flushes. They should of flushed the differential 3X and driven it 15 miles between each flush. I might be off on the correct mileage it should be driven betw…
  • I would listen to the computer. Better to be safe than sorry and the differential fluid change should be covered by honda also.
  • The instructions from honda say to change the fluid drive the car for 5-10 miles and then flush and change again. If I were you next time you get service if it is there show them your receipt and the manual. Let them know about looking at the edmund…
  • If you bring your CRV in to have the rear differential fluid replaced and they try and charge you point out in the manual that it only says that the differential fluid needs to be replaced at 60,000 miles. If they still try and charge you tell them …
  • If you just get your rear differential fluid changed every 25,000 miles or so it should be fine. Honda just incorrectly listed it in the owners manual as being needed to be changed every 60,000 miles. Differential fluid changes are a normal maintane…
  • As Long as you get the rear differential fluid flushed out about every 25,000 - 30,000 miles you shouldn't have a problem. Also being that the manual says 60,000 miles you should get the first 2 flushes at no cost to you. You may have to point this …
  • That's about it so far. Some older model owners have experienced compressor issues or should I say explosions but I believe they have fixed that problem on the generation you own. Only time will really tell. If it does happen you will know because y…
  • I'm sorry that your problem almost killed you Judy. Looking back at all of your posts I see that your auto locked up at 60 MPH. The most that I was aware of was what I would consider a inconvenient flaw in the design that would cause the rear differ…
  • Apparently you have never owned another car because everyone I own (all American) have had issues. My ford Ranger was 500 miles over the 36,000 mile warranty when the check engine light went on. The ford dealership wanted $350 to hook it up to the c…
  • on the H2 is the 8-10 city/highway or just an average in a normal mix of driving? Also where did you get these numbers as all reviews I've seen don't list anything for fuel economy.
  • Actually the profits go to the shareholders and they can be located anywhere. Sure some of the profits go to Japan but the majority go to the shareholder. As far as health care goes sure other countrys have problems but I was trying to point out tha…
  • If you didn't know most honda's, toyota's ect are assembled here in america by american workers. While cars like the chevy aveo are assembled in Mexico and others are assembled in places like Korea. Just in case you forgot until recently Chrysler wa…
  • I was thinking the H1 or H2. I'm guessing they are in the same ball park. The H3 has listed number which give people a rough number.
  • since when did someones language determine qualifications in repairing an auto. It seems you paint with a pretty wide brush when you throw out your ideas.
  • If you have small children the opening between the 2 front seats make the CRV nice for having the passenger able to jump right into the back seat if the kids start screaming. With the accord you have to stop and get in the back. Not a big deal unles…
  • The 4 cylinder seems to have plenty of power, and get good gas mileage for an SUV on par with a forester. The one draw back is that the towing capacity is lower than other SUV's. From my understanding the 4 cyl engine is basically the same one they …
  • You may want to check the laws in your state. In Oregon if they say you have to have chains going up the cascades and you get stuck with out them you get a hefty fine. If I remember correctly it was like $800 2-3 years ago. I thought it was strange …
  • I went with the comfortred on my 06 and think they work great and road noise is a lot less than with the duellers. Also living in Minnesota I was concerned about the handling in the snow but the do better than any tire I have had on any of my cars o…
  • Thanks Chris, I think I'm going with the Goodyear Triple Tread. I got discount tire to match the lowest quote I received. I was just hoping that maybe the hydroedge were a little quieter. I'll see about swinging by some time. Take it easy
  • If you switched to this size wouldn't you also have to switch the spare to this size so not to screw up the AWD if you got a flat?
  • SE is only auto. But I know you only drive Manuals.
  • That rear side window looks terrible. I guess there taking a page out of toyotas FJ cruiser manual. Make it look OK but then create a huge blind spot. Driving the FJ is like driving with a trailer. You need extra side mirrors just to cover all the b…
  • Not sure about the 2007 but I have an 06 and replaced the tires with goodyear triple tread comfort tread. Reduced about 60% of the road noise. I also live in Minnesota so snow is an issue and the 3X tread work great in the snow and ice. Also check o…
  • My clue was a grinding noise from the rear driver side occasional. I'm not sure why it happened around 12 and 24,xxx miles on my crv. Could be that the differential fluids are less viscus when it gets to -40 around here or because all the snow I've …
  • it actually is free. I have had mine changed 2X by the dealership. Just point out that the manual says it only needs to be change every 60,000 and then ask why yours needs to be changed at 12,xxx then 24,xxx. I'm sure after 60,000 miles it won't be …
