Transmission hard shifting
I have a 2005 Dodge Dakota with 105000 on it 4.7 with automatic. I have a slight rough idle, the transmission will hard shift into 3rd but not all the time and now today I was in commute traffic going about 5 miles per hour and it died but started right back up when I turned the key. I have replaced the TPS, Idle control valve, PCV valve, the solenoid pack in the transmission and none of this has made a difference. The strange thing is the hard shift will happen first thing or after driving a while or not at all. The transmission shop tested the transmission at the computer and directly at the transmission and you could see the spike in oil pressure but the shop I had it at wants to just throw parts at it at my expense. Please somebody help.
