Transmission Shift Problem - Solenoid
Have 2002 Focus that has same automatic transmission as focus. Have the following problem.
With the O/D switch off the transmission shift fine but won't go into overdrive.
With the O/D switch on the transmission shifts fine until you get up to 40 mph then it is like the car shifts into neutral and the engine revs pick up (because load taken off engine at same throttle position)
No codes.
O/D light not flashing and only on when O/D is turned off.
Fluid Level good, no leaks
Fluid looks and smells brand new.
Any one experience this. Thinking it may be a solenoid problem but don't want to replace all of them. Transmission shop will want to charge a fortune to replace transmission. (I understand why)
