My calculation tells me differently.
Negotiated Price= $64799 x residual .60= $38,879
$64,799- $38,879= $25,920/36= $720
64,799+38,879 = 103,678 x .00081 (7 MSD) = $84
$720 + $84 = $804.
KYFDX, what am I missing?
I am cysj's brother.
Also, is BMW's MSD according to monthly payments? For example, if monthly payment is $700, the max (7) you could put down would be $4900?0 ·April 24
I need some advice regarding a low credit score lease thru Honda. It is for a 2015 AWD SE. The local dealership was able to get honda to approve us but the terms are painful and i just wanted to get a gut check before signing. The money factor quoted was .0056 and they said honda wanted 5000 total due at signing. The payment for a 12K 36 mod was quoted at 540.00 a month with a selling price of 30700.00 and a list price of 37000 msrp. Thanks for any insight you can provide a quick response would be very helpful because we are in serious need ( our old car died)

Wanted to let you know that your responses regarding the Audi Q3 were immensely helpful! Had I not known the base money factor and residuals for the car we were looking at we would have gotten a very raw deal.
One question I had was regarding the "base money factor." Can someone with top tier credit be below the base money factor, or is that a floor as far as MF/interest rates go for the company? My only point of confusion in the process was that the salesman showed me a monthly payment where the MF was marked up from 0.0012 to 0.00199 but his explanation was that it was for instructional purposes only so people don't get freaked out by a suddenly higher payment amount when their credit score clears. Basically the model they use 'defaults' to a slightly higher MF. Curious to get your thoughts on this. We ended up in Tier B with a 0.00155 MF...0 ·January 23
I was just able to negotiate a great lease deal using the information you posted on the Edmunds message board. Thanks!
I have a background in web development and I think there is a need for a website that makes the lease process easier by consolidating all available information into one place. This website would have the MF, residual %, and cash back information for all vehicles in one place. It would also display sample lease prices based on MSRP, Edmunds TMV, or a custom cap cost.
However, I'm not sure where to acquire the finance numbers you have access to. Is this information freely available?0 ·January 3

Hello, I would like to take a moment of your time for advice if that's ok? I am currently leasing a 2012 Acura MDX. I have 2 years left on my lease. I wanted to know what my options are if I want to end it? I would like to swap it out for a 2015 for the remaining 2 years. Then I would like to finance the rest so I don't have to start over with another full balance to finance. Is this possible? I searched the forums but haven't found anything specifically on the subject. Thank you in advance for your help!0 ·November 2014
Thanks for your reply.
I may head to the dealer later today, so am hoping for an answer.

I posted this one the 2014 Nissan Altima Lease page but figured I'd go right to you as I've seen you are quite familiar w this area. But I really could use some help now as I plan on going tomorrow to really lease this car. Could use some emergency help. Not completely sure I understand the calculation process here. Looking to buy a 2014 (yes 2014) 2.5 SV w/ no packages added. I checked and they still have a few by me in NY (LI). Considering I am buying a 2014 so late, there should be significant incentive. Can anyone help me ballpark what a good monthly payment would be for this specific car w everything rolled into 500 down and rest of the payments (12k/39m/MSRP $25,150/tier 1 credit). Would really appreciate the MAX I should even consider going to per month.0 ·October 2014
Hello, Do you know what the lease rates are for October. I am looking for the numbers on a 2014 & 2015 Tiguan RLine & SEL. Any incentives (ex. dealer cash, USAA, etc.) Also, if anyone can advise on what they have achieved or seen on sales price. Thanks in advance.0 ·October 2014

Hey kyfdx, been following your posts for a while and now I need some help and guidance!
I am looking to lease a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 RWD with Tech Package this Wednesday, MSRP $46,535.
The national lease deal is still $429 per month on the base Genesis 3.8 RWD with $3,999 down and MSRP of $38,950, 12k and 36 month term. Based on your previous posts the assumptions I see used in addition to this is a MF of .00125 and a residual value of 57%.
I want to figure out what an equivalent lease payment would be on the Tech Package assuming a $46,535 MSRP and a negotiated price of $42,900. I am using the same MF and RV, same terms and getting a monthly lease pre-tax of $425.
I feel like I am off somewhere, am I? Are my assumptions illogical? I want to be ready to negotiate well this Wednesday! Thanks for all your help.0 ·September 2014
Any update on my request for the residual value and money factor numbers for the 2015 Mercedes C Class. I live in NY. 10K per year for 36 months. Also are there any incentives to buying this car vs. leasing?
Thanks0 ·September 2014
kyfdxIf you asked previous to September 1st, re-post in the same discussion and we'll see it.
Hi, a local ford local dealer just quoted me $536/mo pretax for a 2015 Explorer Sport with 400a package 36mo/12k. MSRP: $46,525; selling price: $42,750; quoted 1% APR rather than money factor. My math results in a pretax monthly of $480/mo. Is my APR conversion incorrect 1% APR/2400x100 = .00041. Residual 57%? thank you.0 ·September 2014
