I just went out to www.mercuryvehicles.com and saw that the Milan Premier 4-cylinder 5-speed manual is no longer available.

The only Milan to have a 5-speed manual is a base model.

Oh well. I guess I'll either have to keep my '07 for a while or go back to Foreign makes. :(

Wait for the 2010 version - job 1 in December, on sale in January. It gets a 6 speed manual and I'd say there's a good chance it will be available on higher end models.

I hope so. Maybe it's just a case of limiting final-model-year options. I find it quite foolish, in our current situation with gas at $4.00/gallon, that Ford would want to get rid of one of its most fuel-efficient models.

That's why I think it's related to the short model year and the fact that the 5 speed is being replaced by the 6 speed. Could just be a supply problem.
