Dode Durango Driver Side Window Dropped Inside Door

My 2002 Durango has power windows. I had rolled down the driver side window and when I pushed the button to roll it back up, the whole window dropped down into the door. Luckily, the glass didn't break.

The motor still runs when you flip the switch, just nothing happens. All of the other 3 windows work fine.

I pulled the door panel off and tried to look around, but there isn't a lot of eyeball room in there. I did notice the left side cable was not connected to anything.

Is this a motor or an actuator or both? I can't find a diagram anywhere that will show what is suppose to go where. Is this a common problem with a somewhat easy fix?

Thanks

Did you ever figure out how to fix this?
I've had it happen to 3 of my windows now and I have no idea what the problem is.

Same thing happened to me on my driver's side front window - out of the blue it fell down I thought it was shattered, I hit the switch to try to make it go up, I could hear it "trying" to engage but the window would not come up an inch. I was able to reach down and feel that the window was intact, and thankfully didn't break. My cousin works for an Auto Body Repair shop - told me it was the regulator in the door, he offered to fix it, but couldn't do it that very next day and it was very cold, a ton of rain was on the way and i needed it fixed. Took it to Pep Boys, it was the regulator, the things in it (cord/strings/ - n/s what the proper name is) however, this part in there gets tangled up, causes the window to drop and not go back up, rivets hold this part in place, they get drilled out and you replace it with the new regulator. It took them less t hen 1hour to repair it and it was $117.00 total charge. But thats why your window did this -
