2006 B9 Tribeca sounds like I have monster truck tires.

We are in the process of buying a 2006 Tribeca with only 23,000 miles and I noticed it sounded like it has big offroad tires on it. Is this normal on the Tribeca? It feels fine but the noise is odd.

No, and I'd call that a red flag, for sure.

The diffs could be damaged and causing the tires to scrub.

Also, the low miles may be due to problems the original owner had.

There are plenty of good used Tribecas out there, RUN, do not walk, from that one.

It ended up being a wheel bearing which was replaced under warranty.

OK, make sure it wasn't driven like that for long distances, if so the tires could be worn unevenly.
