I own a 07 Outback with 85K miles. While driving yesterday, the air bag warning light on the dash came on. From reading the owner’s manual, it appears that it may be caused by a number of reasons. Would the fact that the indicator light has come on be considered a safety item, and SOA covered? I understand that if it is caused by a seat belt problem, it likely would be covered, by if it were something like a seat sensor, would it also be covered? I was the only one in the vehicle, the passenger air bag was disabled.

I'd call 800-SUBARU3 to pose those questions. They should know what'll be covered by their own warranty. Open a case # and then have them refer you to a dealer, so there's no surprises later.
