Would like a little input. Looking to buy my first stang 94 to 2000 and getting hung up. How many different engines and the different between 5.0 and 4.6. Looking to spend around 3000 to 7000 for it. Trying to get the most bang for the buck.

I prefer the 99-04 body style over the 94-98 and that's only available with the 4.6. The 5.0 was the last of the pushrod engines if that makes a difference. Plenty of aftermarket mods available for both.

Personally I plan to buy a used 2011 grabber blue GT ragtop with the new 5.0L. (In 4 or 5 years).

the 4.6 until 99 or so was not as good as the old 5.0.
