Liberty Fuel Pump Fuse Keeps Blowing

i have a 2006 jeep liberty 4by4 won t start because the fuel pump fuse keep on blowing up
when i take of the fuel pump relay it does not blow up ..... Is it the fuel pump?
THIS IS A 3.7L V6 . NOT A DIESEL

    It can either be a short circuit in the wiring, inside the pump or a mechanically blocked pump.

    i freakin found the problem ..... spent 6 hours on it .... it was the harness connection under the dash board .from the fuse box under the hood to under the dash board the one next to those relays .and hold by this 10 bolt .. it was unscrewed i guess cause of vibration .. it was loose ..i tightenned it started right up.. thanks anyway for replying my question :D:D
