Weird smell while driving my Sequoia

When accelerating quickly or when my Sequoia is at idle, there is this weird smell emanating from my exhaust. Has anybody else experienced the same? Is there a solution? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Can you describe the odor? Because it's a Toyota, my first guess would be that you're experiencing the familiar sulfur smell emitted by the catalytic converter.

Thanks for the quick reply. The smell is a mix between sulfur and "burning iron" (if that makes sense). Is this a problem I should expect on a vehicle with only 6700 miles? Or is this normal and just need to live with it?

I'm inclined to think it's the catalytic converter which would make it no problem at all but a couple of points have me concerned.

Normally, the Toyota's catalytic sulfur smell should be evident from day one and subside gradually over time, never actually going away completely. It may have been there all along and you just hadn't noticed it before.

Also, I'm not sure what to make of the "burning iron" smell you detect. You may want to have your dealer take a look at Sequoia even if only to get a little peace of mind.

Thanks again for the quick reply. I will most certainly call my dealer to have them check out the "burning iron" smell. I'll also ask them to check the catalytic converter as well. Have a great holiday.
