I have had my Tahoe since 2/09. Last week it started making a weird flapping noise. The flapping noise sounds like when you put a baseball card in the spokes of a bicycle. It starts at 30-35mph. I thought it was a piece of trash or something but dont see anything near the tires or under the hood. Please help.. hoping it isn't anything major...

Better check your wheel alignment and make sure your tires aren't cupping!

Another source of "flapping noise" are the plastic splash guards between the frame and body in the rear fender wheel well.

Ours usually only does this when there's a good cross wind.

My wife actually discovered the cause when she'd parked the Tahoe and the wind was blowing. She heard the noise and saw the shields oscillating in the wind.

Funny, I had an odd noise on my van when it was new, and it was some cheapo mudflaps bending in the wind.
