    i came aware of this problem because my grandson has a 2008 GMC envoy, with the same problem check to see if the the steering wheel airbag has the clock spring that controls all the control buttons on the steering wheel under the airbag, when the clock spring goes bad you will have all sorts of lights flash on and off or stay on on the control pannel good luck, check to see if there is a recall on this problem
