Prebuilt Subwoofer Enclosure?

I drive a 2004 yukon denali (AWD 6.0L V8) and in the back left corner of the interior of the car there is a plastic enclosure. a small part of this enclosure pops off and you can store spare tire kits etc. in there. above and to the right of the panel is a circular indent that looks like its for a subwoofer. this is all above the wheel well. could i put a sub in that space? i havent measured but i assume its a ten inch circle.

I have an 04 yukon slt model. I have placed a sub under the read seat connected to the 10' fosgate sub in the same corner. No problems. Orginal panel back on minus the cut out hole for the sub.

i have a 2000 yukon slt and mine came from the factory with a sub in there...dont know what size it is tho
