The wipers on my 1995 GMC Suburban appear to be possessed. They do not turn on when I flip the switch, they do not stop when I turn them off. I think that it is the wiper motor because it has extra sensors in it to signal the delay module. I have tested the column switch, but it looks O.K.. Has any one else had a problem with GM wiper motors ???

taylords1: yes I have had this problem with the wipers in 95 Chev Sub. This is on recall from GMC about 2 yrs. ago. They should replace the wiper circuit board mounted on the engine firewall. The cost of the board is around $58.00, but your dealer should replace it at no cost to you. I replaced mine after the same symptoms you described and it was fixed.

Thanks for the information. Turns out GM
recalled over 1.5 million cars and trucks with
bad wiper motors, and mine is one of them....
