Buzzing sound when put into park??

I drive a 1984 towncar and has 62,000 miles on it. It hasn't done this until recently, and I've owned it for about 2 months now. When I drive around for an hour or so,and I stop and put it into park there will be this loud annoying buzzing sound from around the transmission (sounds like bees)
Now I heard that it could be the electric control unit for the transmission, but I'm not even sure. If this is what it is, is it bad? and can it be fixed cheap if it is bad?

I haven't heard that complaint in many years. But then again you don't see many 1984 lincoln towncars with only 62000 miles on it so i'm assuming it's the original transmission. The noise you are most likely hearing is the throttle valve in the valvebody buzzing. There is an updated throttle valve spring and valvebody gasket that relieves this problem.
