Auto Dimming Mirror

I purchased a Tucson Limited with a Auto Dimming Mirror.
My "Quick Reference Guide Book" on page 06 says that this
mirror is a Homelink System and includes a compass.

I easily activated the homelink for my garage.

My mirror however does not have the compass.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it. My Dealer says the book must be wrong.

Most compasses are an LCD right in the corner of the mirror.. It's possible that the manual was printed before the options list was finalized, or it could be something that is available in other markets, but not in the US..

On their website, it mentions the auto-dimming mirror with Homelink, but nothing about a compass.

If they don't come that way, it's doubtful there is anything you can do... a manual included with your car isn't really a contract that guarantees you a feature.

Have you gone back to the dealership to look at other Limiteds? If none of them have a compass, there is your answer.

I had the same issue. I went back to my dealer for something else & mentioned it. Turns out my Limited edition of the Tucson did not come w/the compass in the mirror, only numerous homelink buttons. They told me in order to get that mirror I would have to pay an additional $300 for an aftermarket one. I was very disappointed but I suppose it was my fault for not going over everything I wanted at the time of purchase.
