Elantra Touring Radio help - defective?

Hi, before I call the dealer and have them swap out my NEW radio in my NEW car:

I cannot get the "tuner" button to work and bring up the bass/treble/fade/left-right dialogues. The manual says to push the tuner button and those commands will appear, but I can push it til the cows come home and nothing appears.
Is there some secret trick that I don't understand, or is it defective?
