Please introduce yourself!
My name is Karen and I'll be your host in the Mercedes M Class Club. Let me know what discussions you would like to have included in this folder. Perhaps take a look at the already established Owner's Clubs for ideas? Anyone care to be a representative/Community Leader for the club? Let me know!
Looking forward to meeting everyone!

The ML family on the net have been a great resource.

I also admin the M-Class Outpost and the M-Class Mailing List. The M-Class Outpost has a neat feature for M-Class owners to log their experiences with their personal ML. You can check out my config there if you're curious what I have on my silver ML320 that's covered w/ salt and dirt...

PS. They're about 180bucks.
My name is Dave and a MB enthusiast. I own a 00 ML320 in Azure Blue with 4k miles and a 99 C230K in black with 55k miles. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their insight and contributions to the M class Town Hall, especially Drew. It is the most informative site for the M class.

Ed Hellwig - Associate Editor, Edmunds.com.
Associate editor Ed Hellwig came to Edmunds with a diverse automotive background that included stints as a gas station grease monkey, automotive spy photographer, and ice rink Zamboni driver. Ed spent five years making sure he hated cold weather at the University of Colorado in Boulder where he somehow earned a degree in American history between beer runs and football games. Upon returning, he proclaimed "snow sucks" and forever pledged his allegiance to the Southern California sunshine. Prior to joining Edmunds, Ed toiled under the iron fist of Tom Lindamood at A&M Specialists, a press vehicle logistics company, as a road-tester and delivery driver. While tooling around in Bentleys and Porsches was less than grueling, Ed just couldn't shake the editorial urge and jumped at the chance to join the Edmunds team. He's now responsible for writing road tests, editing our "Future Telling" column, and assisting in performance testing.

I am a car fanatic and spend most of my free time making sure all our cars look better than the day they were delivered!
I really enjoy this and the other town halls at Edmonds as I read about each SUV I was looking at through thier respective discussions (Land Rover,X5,MDX,ML) before I made my final choice.
Thanks for all the great discussions. Randy
Ours is the one with the Chrome wheels that Drew does not like!
Have more then 6800 miles on it so far. The only issue seems to be a bad tire - cant seem to get them balanced.
Have seen lots of snow - one beck of a snow mobile!

A long time SUV driver, I watched patiently over the past few years as Mercedes perfected this car. Some of the features that became available for this model year (Sport pkg, Tele Aid, Nav) intrigued me enough to visit the local dealer. I dumped the 5 year old Toyota 4Runner (my 4th 4Runner) and bought a ML430 off the lot. So far, I am far from sorry.
I am on my second ML, had 99 ML320 and now ML 2000.
I am seeking MB to build a larger SUV.
current size is adequate, could use more for trips and family.
read the useful posts before buying a ML 320 01 last week. heated seats,m1,bose system skyroof, black opal. am most interested in maintenance issues.
so far so good -89 miles
BTW, I still have 3,300 miles until Service B.

Looking forward to your comments ... Harry
I would be interested in your opinion.
Thanks
- and so far it seems I'm the only European ML owner here. A couple of pictures of my past and present ML's are in the photo section.
Past 4x4's include a Ford Explorer and a JGC V8 - the ML is a whole different ballgame. And the 2001 vintage is so superior to the 1999 one.
Could macbest, or Wayne, please if possible put one or more pictures of that Azure Blue ML with the Sport kit in the photo section - I didn't dare to be so bold, but maybe the next one should be blue....
Kind regards from Luxyland, Europe
Birger
And this, however, is my daily driver:
- and this is how it looks when you don't travel particularly light, yet drive a MCC smart:

I'm also one of the few people on the board here to seem to prefer the '99 over '00. I'm also always interested in any first-hand objective reports of any chip-tuning work - Scotty, we need more power!
O
car. The funny thing was I paid about 20 bucks in tolls, all within the first 200 miles ( In NJ and
Delaware). No wonder they call NJ the toll-booth capital of the world.
I like the car and the service from the MB service dept. at Keyes European, Van Nuys Ca.
