2009 Forester wheel arch molding

alsipjaalsipja Member Posts: 1
I have a 2009 Forester. The wheel arch on the rear driver side fell off while driving down the road. I think it was so hot that the glue just melted. I've contacted dealers but they can only sell the wheel arch kit for the entire car...not just one section. Therefore, it's very expensive to replace. Any idea of where I can just get the piece I need? I've tried salvage yards, etc...no luck.

I installed a set on my 1998 Forester, and it used double-sided tape but also had a couple of bolts hidden in the wheel well to secure it better.

    I'm surprised that could happen...

Most likely, you're only going to find the kit. I imagine the best source for securing just one piece might be private sales on Craigslist, but that's a long shot given the rarity with which these pieces are lost.

You could also get a set from an online discount Subaru parts source and/or use Subaru Bucks. At least you would save some money in the process, even if you end up with three unneeded pieces!

Well, you may have already bought the kit but I need the right rear one-we could split the cost and kit or I will buy the other one from you.
