2012 Bluetooth is missing on most Accords

Bluetooth handsfree phone is not offer by Honda on an Accord model except the EX-L. Other Honda models like the cheaper Civic offer Bluetooth on their base packages. What is Honda thinking?
I was ready to sign the papers on a 2012 Accord SE, until I learned it did not have Bluetooth. I couldn't beleive it. And I won't be forced to spend thousands more for features I do not want just to get Bluetooth, especially when I could get this feature on a stripped down Civic.
I wanted to add a third Honda to my driveway, but I will now look at Toyota, Hyundai or Ford instead. Honda is bound to be losing a lot of sales to better equiped rivals over this miscalculation.

2012 is the 5th year for this Accord generation. Back in 2008, I don't think Bluetooth was as popular as it is now. I would expect the 2013 will have greater connectivity as a standard feature or at least offered in more models then the current series.

I haven't looked at the Accord dash, but my vehicle didn't come with bluetooth either, and I wanted bluetooth. I splashed out $200 and got a better car stereo installed, which is bluetooth-enabled. I don't think I'd let a stereo replacement kill the deal for me if I really liked the rest of the vehicle.

For lots of Honda vehicles, bluetooth is ONLY available on either the top-end model or it comes bundled with a NAV system at about a $3000 premium. Absolutely insane!

For sure, if you like electronic gadgets you most likely won't like Hondas. Honda is in the dark ages when it comes to having standard features that lots of people want. In fact, they have been deleting many nice-to-have features on their vehicles through cost-cutting.

As Kirstie said, you can always spend MORE money to add what you want to a Honda, or you can shop some other brands.

If you MUST drive and talk at the same time, why not just buy an inexpensive earpiece?
