Power loss question

krakendoomkrakendoom Member Posts: 1
My '02 crown vic keeps randomly losing power. After a jump, it was able to make it back home but I'm not sure if it's maybe the battery or the alternator or a fuse of some sort. It cranks but won't start, after it dies the emergency lights click but won't come on. Any suggestions?

1st thing anytime this happens is check your main connections for corrosion and tightness, that's the connections at the battery and starter. Battery 1st. Or at least try wiggling them next time you have a problem.

Next then have the battery tested for free at an auto parts store.
