Nissan Murano Towing

I have a 2011 murano and am planning to get a sail boat that weighs 2800 lbs. dry weight. The boat comes with a dual axle aluminum trailer that probably weighs another 700 lbs. I do NOT have the towing package.
Would I be a fool to try to tow the boat around town? 10-15 miles... I live in low country South Carolina so no hills other than bridges and boat ramps.
What about towing a couple hours?
