Spotify Steering Wheel Track Controls with Ipod Touch 4g
I just purchased a Hyundai Sonata 2013 SE with Nav. package. I love the navigation and screen. It's a big step up from my 2005 Elantra. I just bought a used ipod touch as my in-car MP3 player so that I can use the nav screen to access my music. This works wonderfully, including the steering wheel controls.
I also downloaded Spotify as well as several albums for offline play. I noticed that the steering wheel track controls are hit and miss using Spotify, and more often than not give me a (paraphrased) error "ipod connection error. Please reconnect." when pressed. I noticed that when I hit the down instead of up track button it would work for a few songs, but then ultimately give me the above mentioned error.
Has anyone able to successfully get steering wheel controls working on their ipods/iphones?
I'm an android phone user and was really disappointed that I couldn't view track information on the nav screen (hence the second-hand ipod purchase)
