2002 Chevy Cavalier ignition won't turn

I have a 2002 Chevy Cav. and the ignition won't turn without jiggling it really hard for a while. I have tried all the normal dumb guy stuff like making sure it's in park, the parking brake is engaged, turning the steering wheel etc. Can someone please help?
