    Just for your info.

Originally the ECOTEC engine was designed
    by Lotus Engineering.
ECOTEC engine is rather a compromisation
    between performance and fuel consumption.
In fact they do well on both.
Nowaday the later version of ECOTEC engine
has been added with more features.

    Cheers

Hey you want cheap power, just open up the air flow. What i did was pull the stock air box. Poped in a high flow cone filter on it bout 30 bucks. Now you got more air in the motor, you just gotta be able to get it out fast...! I would rip the caty out or just gut it replace the muffler with a high flow one bout 100 bucks. You should notice a differnce in the way your baby sounds when you got your foot to the floor. And a hair more horse power.

a lot of the CAI i see are for the Z24 models. ive seen some online that cost about 225 bucks for a short ram intake which is a total rip off. honda's and acuras are more than half that price for a short ram. i just took out the existing air box and bought a small pipe from RONA connecting that to my existing stock hose pipe and then slapped on a cone. it doesnt really have the "sssss" sound when u gas or change gears but it does make your car louder at 5000 RPM.. spent about 30 bux.. not bad for a little louder car with a few more horse power.!
