I picked up my new 2014 Base Regal 2 weeks ago to replace my 2011 Base Regal. What an improvement! Turbo is a rocket compared to the starndard 4 I had previously. Suspension is tighter and the car is definitely more quiet. The dash is done well and it didn't take too long to figure out most of the infotainment system although I'm still learning. Syncing to bluetooth was simple. I like the new front and rear treatment. I'll be interested to hear from others and to see what the reviewers have to say. Edmunds has not done one yet.

Zeen, I am interested in the Regal base and would love to hear about a few items.
How isolated is the cabin from the 4 cyl engine noise during normal acceleration. As i dont know what you were used to before the Regal, you mentione the suspension is tighter. With the 18's, how would you rate the ride compliancy and road noise. Not looking for anything too tight as road conditions can be poor in NJ sometimes. Thanks

Engine noise is very well isolated. Feels like a V-6 in smoothness. The ride is firm but they really did a great job quieting road noise. I'm in PA and roads are bad here too. I find the suspension a good balance in maintaining good handliing and a smooth ride. You should test drive it and see for yourself. If there are any downsides, it's the complexity of the infotainment system and the lack of a resting place for cell phones etc.
