Heater Problem

My Neon has issues with its heater. It doesn't get hot, warm sort of , but not like it should. The left vent blows straight cold air and inside the dash, there's hot air that gets blown out from the core, but it gets overwhelmed by any cold air.
Suggestions appreciated !
