Electrical sensor issue - Revving on its own, shutting off. 2004 Buick Rainier

I have a 2004 Buick Rainier, it has 145,000 miles. It all started when the car started revving on its own in all gears. At stop lights then even in park. It would stall out on its own. The next day, everything would be fine, then back at it the next day. Today I drove it to the shop, the window would not roll up, the dash went completely out and nothing works electrically, then it would come back on to how fast I was driving. Have no idea what is going on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

More than likely your alternator is failing or you have a loose connection to the alternator. The battery would have to be in really bad shape to have your dash go out although if your battery hasn't been replaced in 4 years or more you might look into that as well. Revving can happen when your electrical system is failing along with hard shifting through the gears. Have a mechanic or parts store check your battery with a voltage meter and see what it reads.
