GMC S-15 Jimmy 4x4 quit working

ok so heres my issue, the other day i tryed putting it in to 4x4 and it never locked it.. so i look down to see if the light is on to show that the 4x4 was enguaged but it wasent ive tryed it in 4x4 low to and same thing ... even after driveing t around to see it would enguage it wouldnt so any ideas?? is there a fuse for the 4x4 somewhere?
i have a 1989 gmc s-15 jimmy and the 4x4 worked like just yesterday
