Can accessory power remain on after shut down?

I know before starting you can push power with out pressing on the brake and the accessory power will turn on.

Is there something similar for when you are turning off the car?

I'd like to be able to keep a phone call going, but hitting the power button when in ready mode, turns off all power and thus phone call gets disconnected.

Thanks.

Are you certain you cannot just turn the key back ONE click to the 'accessory' position? I would think this should shut-down the engine...but leave electrical power to the radio and stuff.

  • Thanks, but the car has push button start/stop - no key turn.

I've since learned that there is no way to do this and if the engine is on, it will time out and shut off on its own, thus after that you have essentially reached the same point (only battery).
