Remote Vehicle Lock & Sync Disply

Has anyone had any issues with not being able to lock their 2014 Ford Explorer with their remote until about the minute mark when the vehicle's lights and electronics auto turn off. I get this sometimes and other times I have no issues. I also have issues where the sync display won't turn off after I am out of the car and lock it.
