1999 Olds Intrigue Having Issues wouldn't start

I have a 1999 Olds Intrigue 3.5L, I was leaving work and it wouldn't start. The person I got the
car from told me the crankshaft position sensor was needing to be replaced. So I picked one up replaced it when I turned the key it sounded like the starter was just spinning. Replaced the starter same thing. Any Ideas? I'm about ready to blow this car up!!!!
